(one of my many identities.)
for the longest time, i’ve been completely unaware of anything health-related.
eat your greens, avoid junk food, eat an apple a day— all the typical advice that i’d hear all the time and from my doctor is all that i knew.
even so, with all this advice, i still didn’t really understand why it was given. so i didn’t really listen to any of it. i just went with the flow, and fell into a bucket filled with bad habits.
for 14 straight years of my life, i would binge on junk food, sit for 12 hours a day hacking and |playing video games with shit posture, and pull all nighters 3 times a month.
honestly, i’m extremely surprised that i didn’t develop any major health issues. i genuinely think the only thing that kept my health in place was the filipino food my mom cooked me.
(thanks, mom.)
this all changed when covid hit. with complete isolation, this only amplified my bad habits more, and like most people… it was a really rough time.
once covid passed by, i got the urge to focus more on my health. on my 15th birthday i got a bike and started cycling with my neighbor 2 times a week, exploring the nature around us.
junior year of high school, i joined the track team as a sprinter, and fell in love with running and weightlifting.
this completely changed my health from the better. i’d feel more energized, sleep better, and felt more confident as a person.
once i graduated in 2023, i began exploring other ways to better my health. i discovered the huberman lab podcast and the self-improvement community. i became obsessed with bio-hacking and longevity protocols.
i’d learn to optimize my sleep, morning routine, diet, water intake, and even niche things i didn’t even know about before like my gut health.
every day, i’d apply the things i’d learn from these resources into my everyday life. the little things i implemented started to compound one after another, and my mental health, physical health, and work efficiency began to skyrocket.
to this day, i’m still finding new ways to optimize my health and promote longevity. i’m on a life-long mission to help promote the same self-improving longevity education i had through the push of higher-value creation] and media.
